BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO WEARING EYESHADOW
Eyeshadow can seem like a complicated step in a makeup routine. Whether you're looking to add eyeshadow in your everyday makeup routine or just looking for some inspo, we have an easy step-by-step tutorial for you!
Before we get into the details, here are the shades we've picked from our 18P Sunkissed Sands palette. Refer to the shade numbers as you read through the steps below.
Step 1: LID
Start by applying a light shade all over your lid as a base. Use a fluffy eye blending brush for a seamless finish.
Step 2: CREASE
Apply a medium shade to the crease and lower lash to create depth and dimension. Use the Bullet Eyeshadow Brush for precision and ease in blending across the crease of eye.
Step 3: DEFINE THE LASH LINE
Shade #1 & #2
Use the same two shades from the lid and crease to define the lower lashline. Always start with the light and follow with the darker shades! Stick to the Bullet Eyeshadow Brush for a sharp line and consistent blending without making a mess.
STEP 4: CENTRE OF THE LID
Pick a darker shade or bright simmer for the centre of the lid. Use the Full Shadow Brush for even layering and smooth blending.
STEP 5: HIGHLIGHT
Pick the lightest shimmer or matte shade on the palette and use the Bullet Eyeshadow Brush or Eye Blending Brush (clean before use) and swipe the eyeshadow on the inner corner of the eyes and brow bone to brighten the areas.
